Coherent has a long history developing high-performance drivers for a wide range of lasers used in our datacom transceivers and related. These drivers are now offered as standalone products matched for DFBs, VCSELs, and the latest Buried Heterostructure (BH) lasers.
Laser Driver Amplifiers
Coherent laser driver amplifiers are designed to achieve the best possible optical transceiver performance at low power consumption, and are fully tested production grade optical transceivers. These amplifiers provide programmable bias, burn-in current and modulation amplitude, as well as a monitoring photo diode interface for optical output power monitoring.
