Abhay Edlabadkar

Chief Transformation Officer

Abhay Edlabadkar has been associated with the company since 2004 when he first joined the M&A and special projects team. Since 2020, he has been involved in strategic projects and most recently led the due-diligence and integration activities between II-VI Incorporated and Coherent, Inc. Mr. Edlabadkar has been a key force working with Coherent Corp.’s business and functional leaders on many of its transformation programs. In his role as Chief Transformation Officer, he is accountable for working with the leadership team for developing, aligning, orchestrating, and delivering a comprehensive set of transformation initiatives designed to improve the organization’s overall health and fitness for the future, in accordance with its overarching strategy and vision.

Mr. Edlabadkar has enjoyed a distinguished career launching new technologies and leading strategic acquisitions in the global semiconductor and engineered materials industries. He is the founder of Redmorph Inc. and previously was CEO of eBizNET and 7Hills Global Solutions.

Prior to joining II-VI, he held leadership positions at Lucent Technologies, Bell Laboratories, Agere Systems, and TriQuint Semiconductors, focused on photonics, optoelectronic device fabrication, and components for optical and data communications networks. Abhay started his career as an automation and robotics engineer focused on semiconductor fabrication and devices.

Mr. Edlabadkar holds an MBA from Columbia University, an M.S. from Texas A&M University/Virginia Tech, and a B.E. from Osmania University.
